Last year – 2009 – I was on a 10 days trip to Washington DC, here I took some time out to go on a trip to Jamestown, Virginia.
Because I thought it would be cool to see the first British settlement on American soil, I must admit there isen’t that much to see, only a few outlines of some of the buildings, some ruins and the statues of John Smith and Pocahontas. But still there is this special feeling of being in the place “where it all started” and that is pretty awesome.
I would recommend that if you are in the neighborhood, you should definitely go there.
