When I was in Thailand in 2008, I wanted to visit the city Chiang Mai, in the northern part of the country, and since renting a car and driving there myself wasn’t an option – the traffic in Thailand is terrible, and would without question have gotten me killed – the train was my only option (actually flying was another option, which I used on my way back from Chiang Mai to Bangkok), but I don’t mind taking the train when I’m traveling, you see a country in a certain way from a train, that you wouldn’t otherwise.
I made this shoot when we where having a short stop, for some reason, I don’t know why we where stopping and didn’t bother to find out, cause the view from My railway carriage window was so cool, that I didn’t mind us stopping at all.
