Here is one more from My trip to Chernobyl in May 2010, I spent most of the 2 days in the abandon city of Pripyat, a really creepy place to walk around, everything is broken, every window is smash and most of the inventories is stolen, our guide Maxim told us that a lot of the stuff was left behind – because of radiation – is now gone. Thieves have be looting the place for the last 24 years which leaves almost nothing left except for the empty buildings.
I shoot this photo in a room behind the theater in the culture building, it used to be a get place for all kinds of activities, it had a gym and a boxing ring among other things.
When I look at this photo I always try to imagine want the last show on the stage was about, because I think these posters were a part of it , My guess is some sort of political celebration.
What do you think?
Post process wise, it’s a 2×5 RAW exposure HDR made in Photomatrix, I then stitched the two HDRs together with Hugin, and cleaned up the shadows and highlights in Photoshop.
