Today it is my best friend Philip’s birthday, he works a bit further down the street from where this photo was made and on the other side of the canal, he’s the night porter at a hotel called “Hotel Bethel“, which in the old days served as a place for seamen who had to stay the night in Nyhavn, today it serves all kinds of people.

This HDR – made from 5 RAW exposures – have given me some trouble in the post process, I didn’t quite know which way I wanted to go with it, and I had to remake it a couple of times, in one the neon was a bit to bright, a second the sky was and then the sky was to dark and so on. But I finally ended up with a look and feel, that I like, and that’s what you see here.
