This actually what the Faroese calls this place, you can find it on the island Mykines. Once there you get an idea of why they call it that, cause it feels like standing at the end of the world, with the wind blowing through your hair, the sound of the waves crushing against the cliffs and all the different birds flying around making a lot of noise.
There are two ways to get to the island, by boat or by helicopter, there’s only one village on the island called Mykines village (population 19), you are free to walk around all over the island. The trail from the town to the lighthouse is about 1,6 Km and it takes almost 2 hours (with stops to shoot some photos a long the way) to get out there, and then of course 2 hours back.
