Todays photo is made in a collaboration with artist Lisa Strøander, it’s her idea – and her toys – I did the photography and post process.
The photo is made on a square here in Copenhagen called Enghave Plads, where they are about to expand the Copenhagen subway system, and build a subway station on the square. in order to do that they need to cut down a 114 year old tree, which has caused a lot of anti-subway stations protest among the people living around the square.
And this is our contribution to the protest.
As you can see the ISO is a bit high for and HDR – normally I don’t go above 400 – but because of the light conditions I decided to try to make a hand-held HDR – did bring My tripod either – and to do that I had to crank up the ISO. Fortunately the Nikon D3s is superb with noise compression in the high-end of the ISO scale.
And after a bit of noise reduction in PhotoMatrix I like the way it turned out.
I faded out the colors to make the photo feel as old as the tree.
