Here’s a tip for you, if you are going to Angkor Wat, and you’re going to see the Sunrise (at around 6AM), then remember to stay there after the sun has risen, because many of the “tourists” go back for breakfast right after sunrise, and then you have the Wat almost to yourself, for a few hours, the overcrowded buses returns at round 8AM, and then it’s going to be like walking around a music festival, you know like your standing in line everywhere.
Unfortunately I was in Cambodia in the summer, and there you don’t get that many cool sunrises (or sets) the photo above was my second attempt to get one, it was better than the first one but far from overwhelming.
This photo is made on the “backside” of the Wat or the opposite side of the main entrance if you like.
