When I stayed in Kharkhorin, Mongolia this summer, I got up early just around sunrise – which was pretty good, but I was in a bad spot – here I saw all these hawks flying around, and I mean there were a lot, my guess would be around 70 hawks. I think they were here because there were a million mice all over the place, so my guess would be that they hunted them in the early hours of the day.
Anyway I saw this wire with all these hawks sitting on it – see the photo – and found it quite amazing, where I live you can see the same thing, but then it’s swallows or some other small bird, that’s sitting there.
