This is known as Turtle Rock, and you can properly see why. You can find it in Gorkhi Terelj National Park in Mongolia, it’s about a 1–2 hours drive from Ulan Bator.
The park is a very beautiful place and a cool place to visit, if you like hiking in some very nice scenery.
I manage to capture it just as these two riders, rode past it, they make a nice reference to how big this rock really is.
I keep thinking of the turtle in Michael Ende’s “The Never Ending Story” when I see this photo.
